By using the site, you agree to these terms

If you don't agree, please don't use the site. We may update these terms from time to time; the "Last updated" date above reflects the current version, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new version.

Browsing the directory

Anyone can browse listings without an account. We aim to keep listings accurate, but tournament details are supplied by the host club and may change. Please confirm format, dates, fees, and entry requirements directly with the organiser before travelling. We don't handle entries, payments, or refunds - those are between you and the club.

Accounts

To list a club or tournament you need an account. When you register you agree to:

• Give us accurate name and contact details.
• Keep your password to yourself - you're responsible for activity on your account.
• Let us know promptly if you think someone else has accessed your account.

Listing a club or tournament

When you create a club or post a tournament you confirm that:

• You have permission to represent the club and to publish the information you're submitting.
• The information is accurate, up to date, and not misleading.
• The contact details you publish are appropriate for public display, and you have permission from the people named to publish them.
• Any images you upload are yours to share, or are otherwise licensed for this use.

We may edit or remove listings that are inaccurate, out of date, unlawful, infringing, abusive, or otherwise not in keeping with a public bowls directory. We'll usually get in touch with you first.

Acceptable use

When using the site, please don't:

• Scrape, crawl, or bulk-download listings except as a normal browser would.
• Impersonate another club, person, or organisation, or misrepresent your authority to act for one.
• Post anything unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, or otherwise harmful.
• Interfere with the site's operation, security, or other users' access.

Intellectual property

The site's design, code, and original content are owned by Bowls HQ. Club names, logos, photos, and tournament materials remain the property of the clubs or people who provided them - we display them under licence from the club for the purpose of running the directory. If you believe content on the site infringes your rights, let us know via the contact form and we'll act on it.

Closing your account and deleting your data

You can close your account and have your personal information deleted at any time. Just send us a message through the contact form from the email on your account and we'll action it promptly.

Public listings you created (clubs, tournaments) will be removed along with your account unless another manager has joined the club, in which case the club listing stays with them. See the Privacy Policy for full detail on what we delete and what we keep.

Disclaimer and liability

The site is provided on an "as is" basis. We aim for it to be accurate and available, but we don't warrant that it will always be error-free or uninterrupted. To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site or from anything that happens at a tournament listed on it - including issues with entries, cancellations, payments, or conduct at events. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 where it applies.

Governing law

These terms are governed by New Zealand law, and any dispute will be dealt with in the New Zealand courts.
